Activities at Villa Del Palmar Flamingos and Villa La Estancia

Daily Activities: From the hours of 9:30 am to 4:30 pm every day, complimentary activities await you at our pool including; Pool Games, water aerobics and water volleyball. All these take place in the midst of the invigorating fountain jets. wet & wacky and lazy games are also offered. Bingo, pottery classes, spanish lessons, pinatas, treasure hunting and sand castle classes are available.

Our Activities Team constantly looks for new, creative and fun ways to entertain you.
You could try spending the entire day beside our Lagoon style, multi-level pool in your recliner. Or why not join in the fun of beach or water volleyball or learn Spanish as a new language?
Nightly dinner and theme shows, in our main plaza or beachside, are waiting for your entertainment and afterwards you still have plenty of time for a relaxing soak in our beachside Jacuzzi and then enjoy a beachside nightcap.

A large variety of offsite activities and tours are available to you and can be scheduled through our Concierge.

Entertainment: Activities continue into the evenings at Villa del Palmar Flamingos Beach resort & Spa and are just as entertaining with nightly Dinner and Theme Shows including: Movie Night, Pirate Night, Karaoke Night and Mexican Fiesta amongst them.

Please note that the shows are dependent upon weather conditions and they may also vary with the season.

Golf: Puerto Vallarta’s trademark Golf Courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus, are just minutes away from the Villa del Palmar Flamingos Beach Resort & Spa. The spectacular beauty of Banderas Bay forms the perfect backdrop for your memorable day on uncrowned greens. Your choice of courses include the nearby Flamingo Golf Club in Nuevo Vallarta and the Marine Golf Club and the Villa Vallarta just a short drive away in Puerto Vallarta. Tours Services: We provide such a large variety of tours and excursions in Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta just minutes away, that you are certain to find something to appeal to you.. We offer everything from ATV excursions, Glass Bottom Boat and Pirate Ship Cruises, Sunset Cruises, Horseback riding on the beach and Scuba Diving to Whale Watching (seasonal) and of course romantic Moonlight Cruises. Our Concierge Desk will be happy to assist with suggestions for you and will help you with your reservations.

Eagles Wings Fundation

Eagles Wings Foundation is a non-profit organization conceived by Jim McCarthy, a long-time Board of Directors member of Universal Vacation Club.  It was approved by IRS in l999, and donations may be included as part of your income tax deductions. The mission of EWF is to provide assistance to charitable groups in the Puerto Vallarta area, the nearby state of Nayarit, and Cabo San Lucas.  In some life-threatening situations, we try to aid individuals as well.  We call our efforts “Taking Care of our Home Away From Home.”  Since its inception, EWF has made almost $2,000,000 (US) in grants, currently maintaining an overhead expense rate at less than 2%!

Many people who visit Mexico and stay at the beautiful resorts do not realize that ten minutes away people are living in poverty. These  people do whatever they can to eke out a meager existence, even scavenging  for items they can sell and sometimes even for food.

We try very hard to help children through our scholarship program. In Mexico, children who finish their primary school (elementary and junior high levels) no longer receive any state support, making the drop-out rate very high.  In some schools, the teacher has to sign out a blackboard eraser and return it at the end of the school day, and the students even have to pay for the paper on which to take tests.  In many schools, textbooks are non-existent and libraries are only in their dreams.  In one school, for example, we learned that many of the students worked in the fields in the morning and went to school from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Some of the students were walking up to two hours each way.   EWF has bought them two school buses, and now they have four times as many students attending school coming from a wider area.

EWF makes a yearly donation to an organization in the nearby community of Bucerias (Manos de Amor) where a combination orphanage and day-care center  is being constructed.

Any organization approved by the EWF BOD is carefully screened before a grant is given and must submit receipts for any and all expenses.  Our donors have been very generous, but we never have enough money to help all of the worthy organizations needing our help.

After learning about some of the work being done by EWF, it is our hope and prayers that you will see how important this organization has become in helping thousands of people in need to have a start toward a better life.
